A lasting partnership spanning a quarter century
We have been behind the LASSCO website since we started back in 1998! Twenty-five years on and we’re still going with it.
Far from being an antique itself, over that time we have produced many versions of the site, each one finer than the last. The current version of the LASSCO website was launched in 2020, and since then it has been refined with custom functionality for Lassco flooring to sell its product. It provides a place for Lassco Venues to present its venue hire business, it’s all under one roof and makes use of Wordpress and a customised Woocommerce.
Housing the most extensive selection of Architectural Antiques available, the site offers a very bespoke ecommerce solution. Migrated away from Magento to WooCommerce, the site allows for visitors to view, enquire and buy from the most diverse range of products.
A customised ecommerce solution
Out of the box ecommerce solutions don't really deliver what's required by a brand such as Lassco. There are three companies under the Lassco moniker, all requiring up to date sales data and all with their own specific requirements. The products they sell range from a single brass doorknob to an entire bridge.
As with all of the E-commerce sites we take on, we guided the team at LASSCO through the idea of providing a meaningful user experience that would work for many different types of user. The result is a clean, uncluttered interface that presents the products to their best advantage.
Under the bonnet we have customised the Woocommerce backend to allow for rapid stock entry. We've also produced a system whereby Lassco can produce their own landing pages from whatever stock they want. This is the dream for SEO, allowing targeting of niche keywords. Coupled with properly on-message design the site provides LASSCO with so much more than just an ecommerce site, the entire company depends on it for offline sales too.
We understand that a huge amount of work goes into running back office operations. Making all of this run smoothly is an essential part of a well-run ecommerce operation.
